Our son is going to College near St Albans and in talking to to another family member we were informed that there were ruins in St Albans. Ruins and photographers go hand in hand like fish and chips. So naturally it was on to the internet fro a quick read up and research. Quite quickly we found that not only did St Albans boast and independent camera shop and the one of the last Jessop shops, not to mention Hotel Chocolat, but plenty of interest including Sopwell Nunnery ruins, many Roman remains and the Cathedral. Our son was delighted when we informed him that he did not have to get up early and spend an hour and half to commute college as we were driving there ourselves. Our only disappointment was the day we choose was overcast which was not help full. At the very least we have now done a recky so we will be back again soon.
