We took the opportunity as we were staying with my parents in Clacton to start our day of photography at the silly hour of half past four in the morning. A location had been spot the day before, the tide table checked and we were breathing the sea air watching the Sun rise over the horizon in Holland on Sea. After the sun had risen, it was a quick dash up to Woodbridge and we found ourselves photographing the tide mill about around 7 in the morning. Little did we know that our fellow member and esteemed leader Lance was lurking about at the same time. Then it was off to Orford for a quick shoot round Orford Castle. On the way out of Orford, we spotted ruins behind the church and of course no self respecting photographer can resist church ruins. During Breakfast (Coach & Horses, Melton) I suddenly realised that I had not brought the email with club meet location. Fortunately, a text to Lance confirmed the meet and as we pulled in the Car Park I was pleasantly surprised with the number of members that had already congregated. After a pleasant chat and coffee with our fellow members, Ben Treena and I had headed off to Aldeburgh (stopping off for a picturesque shot a long the way). In Aldeburgh the old light house, Martello Tower and groins were some of the subjects extensively examined and photographed. Our detour left us late returning to Woodbridge (nothing to do with me stopping to take a shot of a field of onions), but we found our fellow members enjoying some fine beverages waiting for some culinary delights. Tiredness was starting to set in while we relaxing chatting with the other members and the thoughts of driving back to Clacton to collect the children before heading home loomed, so reluctantly we started to head back.
