An afternoon during the summer holidays and all the children are out! So we took advantage of the interesting sky and hopefully dodge the rain showers. The Aythorpe Windmill is well positioned right on the edge of a field with a very useful footpath passing by. There has been many really good images posted of it. This year the crop in the field is Rape Seed. We photographed it earlier in the year when the yellow flowers were out and Treena managed to get the good images. On this visit the crop was coming close to harvest, dry out and turning golden. The weather was on and off heavy showers which amazingly seemed to miss us but we could see them. We had hopes of a rainbow. The light seemed to be very interesting, brilliant sunshine with dark clouds and the wind blowing the crop. Thus although enhanced some what the inspiration for this image came along.
