Buildings are to me fascinating
subjects to photograph. Architects spend
hours and hours designing building and as a photographer, our challenge is to
capture the essence of the building.
This does not mean you necessarily need to create a true complete record
of the building. Often just part of the building is enough to illustrate the
essence and feel of the building.
Buildings also
dominate the area where they are built and thus another approach is to capture
the environment in which they are constructed and their impact. In many cases
there is a juxtaposition which can be highlighted making the image more intriguing
and communicating more than just essence of the building but also a sense of
story.
Here are a few from
over the years I have enjoyed.
